* 5:07 - Animal rescuers in Iowa were called to an apartment complex where residents found a 5-foot alligator in the parking lot. When the rescuers arrived on scene, they discovered the alligator was a stuffed toy.
* 6:30 - Firefighters in Canada had to rescue a dog from a car that the animal had kicked into neutral, sending it rolling down the street.
